The Series L-810 Red Infrared (IR) obstruction light incorporates Infrared LEDs to make the lights more clearly visible to aircraft pilots that utilize Night Vision Goggles during flight. Night Vision Goggles are commonly equipped with filters that are not sensitive to normal LED light. The use of Infrared LEDs in these RTOs along with standard Red LEDs allow for these obstruction lights to be seen clearly with or without Night Vision Goggles. The RTO Series obstruction.
